Gas Detectors from RC Systems
Gas detectors include a range of gas detection systems including oxygen detectors, toxic gas detectors, combustible gas detectors, and more. They can be mounted locally or as remote transmitters and are used for detecting oxygen depletion and the presence of toxic or combustible gases.
Designed for a wide range of monitoring applications: Our "Smart Sensor" interface has been adapted to many sensor technologies including electrochemical, resistive bridge, PID's (Photo Ionization Detectors), IR's (Infrared), milliamps, and voltage inputs. The SenSmart 1100, 4000 and 5000 are single variable devices, and the SenSmart 6000 and 3000 may be supplied as single or dual variables with sensors mounted local or remote to the transmitter housing.
The SensePoint gas detector is R.C. Systems’ newest solution for single point monitoring with local alarm indication. Ideal for laboratory and commercial environments . With a bright, vivid backlit color display, Modbus and programmable relays, it will satisfy the most demanding application’s requirements. The SensePoint gas detector supports all temperature compensated smart sensor types including Electrochemical, Catalytic Bead, Infrared and Photoionization sensors. It even has Arctic options available for extreme low temperature installations.
UNIVERSAL GAS DETECTOR SERIES
R.C. Systems' Universal gas detector products connect to oxygen and toxic gas sensors to measure gas levels and transmit visual and audible alarms to protect workers from hazardous gas exposure. Our gas detectors support a full range of sensors and are easy to calibrate with minimal downtime.
Universal detectors feature non-volatile memory to store historical monitoring and calibration data. The real-time clock and calendar also flag all your alarm and calibration events. We offer an option of two fully configurable gas alarm models to meet your exact gas detection needs.
TOXIC GAS & OXYGEN DETECTORS
Toxic gas detectors and oxygen gas detectors monitor the presence of gases in a specified area and sound an alarm when they reach dangerous levels. Gas detectors are typically installed where there is a potential for a gas leak, and where unsafe gas levels pose an immediate danger to workers or equipment. Toxic gas detectors are widely used by industries including gas and oil, medical, mining, nuclear, construction, food and beverage, and industrial.
COMBUSTIBLE GAS DETECTORS
Combustible gas detectors utilize both catalytic bead sensors and infrared sensors to provide reliable readings in any application.
Catalytic bead combustible gas sensors consist of a reference bead and an analytic bead, wired into a Wheatstone bridge circuit. In these detectors, a small amount of gas is burned on the analytic bead, causing it to get hotter and increasing its resistance and voltage drop. This creates an imbalance of the bridge circuit that is proportional to gas concentration.
CARBON DIOXIDE INFRARED DETECTORS
The key components of RC Systems’ infrared CO2 detectors are the light source, measurement chamber, interference filter, and IR detector. Infrared radiation is directed from the light source, through the measured gas, and into the detector. Specialized filters at the front of the gas detector prevent wavelengths other than those specific to the measured gas from passing through. Light intensity is detected and converted into a gas concentration reading.
We offer two lines of infrared carbon dioxide detectors: SenSmart gas detectors and Millennium Series gas detectors. Both lines utilize RC Systems’ advanced, innovative gas detection technology to deliver reliable results in nearly any application.
